💠 Penny FireHorse is a mixed media artist who has overcome poverty and violence to heal, educate and empower herself through art. cosmicsparkdesigns.com

💠 Yoshi Nakagawa's artwork is influenced by patterns of the natural world and Japanese textiles, along with her immigrant life experiences in Mexico and Japan (1999-2001). yoshinakagawa.com

💠Joshua Lee brings his reality to life through art. He brings out the essence of a person, place or thing through his work.

💠 Lynn Di Nino's materials include household objects, plastic, shredded newspaper, and coffee beans – whatever will express my story in a clever and shapely way. lyndinino.com

💠 Mauricio Robalino's art is a celebration of life rooted in nature and curiosity. artpeople.com

📣 Request for Volunteers!

Would you like to be part of an exciting community arts event? Come volunteer with us at Arts at the Armory. Volunteer opportunities are limited, so be sure to secure your spot! Masks are required.

Volunteers' duties will vary but can include setting up chairs, helping artists move their items into the Armory, being a "seat warmer" for artists who need a break, cleaning up, and breaking down the space after the event concludes. Let us know what duties you're most comfortable with.

Volunteer shifts are flexible; choose any time that works for your schedule, from one hour to a full day. Volunteers are needed during the following dates and times:

• Friday, December 9, from 4pm - 9 pm
• Saturday, December 10, from 10 am - 6 pm
• Sunday, December 11, from 10 am - 8 pm

✴️ Tom Comstock is a fused glass artist, having worked in fused glass for over a decade and now living in Tacoma.

✴️ Jonathan Bolivar is a glassmaker who has been blowing glass for almost ten years. glassbolivar.com

✴️ Ethan Budd started blowing glass his junior year of high school, then began taking part in Hilltop artists; this led to many opportunities, including jobs at Silas high school, Hilltop Heritage middle school, and the Museum of Glass.

🔸Rosemary Ponnekanti/Tacoma Light Trail is a free winter festival of light art in downtown Tacoma. A walkable and drivable trail pairs light art with music and poetry at 30+ locations. tacomalighttrail.org

🔸Nick Stokes' writings confront reality and the reader. His books include THE END: a story of the undead, ARTIFACT COLLECTIVE: an attempt to consciousness, YOU CHOOSE: an (anti)-choose-your-own-adventure, and AFFAIR. nickstokes.net

🔸 Steve and Kristi Nebel bring passion, finesse, and beauty with their songs of social justice, knife-edge observations, and pure, simple love. sknebel.com

🔸 Deborah Renee is a poet and photographer in the Tacoma area. She combines the two arts of photography and poetry into the medium of "Photopoetry."

🔸 Lydia K. Valentine is a playwright, director, dramaturg, editor, educator, writer, and the 2021-23 City of Tacoma Poet Laureate. cityoftacoma.org/poet
