A Chicana, Zacatecana, growing up in/around Los Angeles and the Pacific Northwest--Maribel Galvan's art unapologetically celebrates the multidimensions of Chicanx/Latine identity. Her mediums include textiles, clay, glass beads, but primarily works with acrylic on wood/canvas. Maribel focuses on intersectionality, indigeneity, chicanismo, mujerismo, sacred medicine, and connection to the land and familia.
