The Tacoma Arts Month Event Calendar is a public resource maintained by the City of Tacoma’s Arts and Cultural Vitality Division. It is open year-round and free for anyone to use or list on.

Listings come from local artists, community organizations, cultural groups, small businesses, and individual community members. The calendar includes community-organized events, city-hosted programs, and events funded by Tacoma Creates.

Events may include performances, workshops, exhibitions, markets, film screenings, literary readings, youth programs, cultural celebrations, and more. Event details are provided by each organizer. Please confirm times, ticketing, and accessibility information directly with the hosting organization before attending.

SHARE YOUR EVENT

If you are an artist, organizer, business, or community member hosting an eligible event within Tacoma city limits, you are welcome to list it here. The calendar is free, open year-round, and built to make local arts and cultural events easy to find for residents across the city.

WHAT BELONGS ON THIS CALENDAR

To be listed, an event must meet all of the following:
• It is arts or culturally focused
• It takes place within Tacoma city limits
• It is open to the public (free registration or RSVP is fine; ticketed events are welcome)

All submissions are reviewed by staff. Review typically takes 2 to 3 business days. Submitting an event does not guarantee listing. Events that do not meet the criteria above will not be approved, and submitters will be notified.

Once approved, you can edit your listing at any time. Please keep your event details current, and update or remove your listing if plans change.

HOW TO LIST YOUR EVENT

Step 1: Complete the event submission form. Include your event name, date, time, location, a brief description, and any relevant accessibility information. Submissions are free.

Step 2: All submissions are reviewed by staff within 2 to 3 business days. You will receive a notification when your event is approved or if it does not meet eligibility criteria.

Step 3: Once your listing is live, you can update it at any time. If your event changes or is canceled, please update your listing so community members have accurate information.

Many events on this calendar are free or low cost and are located across Tacoma’s neighborhoods. When planning your visit, consider traveling by Pierce Transit bus, the Tacoma Link light rail, bicycle, or on foot. Several event venues are located near transit stops and in walkable districts.

Yes. Submitting and listing an event on the Tacoma Arts Month Event Calendar is free.

Who can submit an event?

Anyone hosting an eligible event in Tacoma: individuals, community organizations, nonprofits, and for-profit businesses are all welcome to submit.

Can ticketed events be listed?

Yes. Ticketed events are welcome on the calendar provided they meet all other eligibility criteria: arts or culturally focused, held within Tacoma city limits, and open to the public. 

Does free registration count as open to the public?

Yes. Events that require free registration or a free RSVP are considered open to the public and are eligible for listing.

How long does review take?

Staff review all submissions within 2 to 3 business days.

What if my event is not approved?

Can I update my listing after it is approved?

Yes. You can edit your listing at any time after approval.

My event is recurring. How should I submit it?

Submit it as a single entry and use the recurring event option in the submission form to indicate the frequency and date range. Do not submit the same event multiple times.
